Getting out of the hustle and taking back ownership of your life is completely possible. You're not crazy to dream about it. Like any change - it will require creativity, experimentation, tenancy and curiosity. It will require that you change YOU and YOUR LIFE. The blog is part of a series on Residual Income Options - outlining ideas and action steps that you can take out in the world to create a slower, more authentic life for yourself.
While it is a wealth of knowledge and helpful information, it alone won't get you where you want to go. The thoughts, beliefs, habits, and routines you have now are what led you to where you are today. The only way to successfully make a big change in your life is to change yourself in addition to taking actions in the world. When you invest time, energy and money into both your inner and outer worlds with intention - you can do just about anything you want.
If you're wondering how to get started on the inner stuff, you can follow me on social media, read more of my website, schedule a free session with me, or download my DIY Coaching Course, "The Stories We Tell Ourselves."
How To Make Money With Your Blog
In today's digital age, blogging has become more than just a platform for personal expression. It has evolved into a powerful tool for earning income and building a successful online business. While starting a blog is relatively easy, turning it into a profitable venture requires strategic planning, dedication, and consistent effort.
Creating A Blog Niche
First, choose a profitable niche that aligns with your inner voice. Selecting the right niche for your blog is crucial. There are two things that will define your perfect niche: A subject that you are passionate about, and one that has a potential audience and monetization opportunities. Invest time and energy in both. Journal, spend time alone, brainstorm with friends, get slow and quiet enough to hear that voice of authentic wisdom inside of you. Then, conduct thorough market research to determine the demand for content in your chosen niche.
Building Your Blog
Create a visually appealing and user-friendly blog that provides value to your audience. Invest in a professional design, optimize for search engines, and ensure your site loads quickly. Consistently publish high-quality, engaging content that keeps readers coming back for more. While you can certainly hire someone to build you a website, I highly recommend using a DIY Website Builders, this will save you money and allow you to be in full control of content and publishing.
Display Advertising on Your Blog
One of the most common ways to monetize a blog is through display advertising. Join an advertising network, such as Google AdSense, and place ads strategically on your blog. Focus on optimizing ad placement for maximum visibility and click-through rates while maintaining a balance between user experience and ad revenue.
Google Adsense allows you to run ads from the Google Display network on your website. In the beginning, you can monetize your blog with Google Adsense, but you won't make much money. Your earning potential is $0.1 - $0.5 per page view/mo.
In the event that you reach 25,000 page views a month, you can (and should) drop Google Adsense in favor of an advertising network that manages your display ads directly on your website (also known as publisher networks), ensuring you are earning the most money. Typically these networks take between 20%-40% of the display ad revenue from your website.
Affiliate Marketing on Your Blog
Affiliate marketing is a powerful way to generate income by promoting products or services on your blog. Join affiliate programs relevant to your niche and incorporate affiliate links within your content. When readers make purchases through your links, you earn a commission. Be authentic and only recommend products you genuinely believe in to maintain trust with your audience, and alignment with yourself.
Placing affiliate ads on your website is a legitimate way to make money. It is possible to earn money recommending products or services and getting paid every time someone signs up through your link. In comparison to ad campaigns where you get $1-$3 per click, affiliate commissions can earn you $5-$500) each time someone clicks on your link.
The easiest, lowest hanging fruit is the Amazon affiliate program where you can get paid whenever you link to a product listing on Amazon if one of your readers buys the product. While Amazon's payouts aren't as high as promoting a specific product directly, they have an easy-to-use affiliate platform and you can promote pretty much anything on Amazon. In general, the more expensive the product you promote, the higher the commission you'll receive if someone decides to buy it through your link.
When you're ready to take the next step, begin by making a list of products you believe in & already use that relate in some way to your niche and authentic self. This can include things you use around the house or in your garden, clothes you love, foods you eat, or tools and equipment related to your hobby.
Next, create your "influencer" resume. While the word "influencer" often brings an image of a millionaire teenage gamer on YouTube, it really is the best word to you because you are, literally, making money influencing someone. So, let's own it. Even if you only have a couple hundred followers - you can still learn to present yourself in the best possible light to prospective collaborators. As you grow, your resume and clientele will grow. Don't wait - just the act of building this document will help you gain clarity on your who you are and where you're going. For tips on creating this document, read this blog. Also, I do offer sessions on specific tools (like this one) where we can meet just once or a few times to build your resume together. We'll zoom and screen-share and create your document together. Yup, you'll leave our session with a shiny new influencer resume. If you're interested, complete the Entreprenerd inquiry, and I'll get back to you with more information.
After you have your resume, begin to reach out to companies that you're interested in working with. Not all companies have affiliate programs or sometimes they keep them hidden for a smaller group of bloggers. Some might have minimum traffic requirements, and if so, just make a note to contact them when your traffic gets bigger. Again, I offer support and coaching through this process if you're interested, just reach out to me.
Sponsored Content for Your Blog
As your blog gains popularity, you can attract opportunities for sponsored posts and brand collaborations. Companies may approach you to write reviews, create sponsored content, or promote their products. Typically they will offer between $50 – $1,000 to publish one of their posts on your blog. Give intention to the partnerships, and make sure they align with your blog's values and resonate with your audience.
The world of blogging is ever-evolving, and it's essential to stay updated with the latest trends, strategies, and technologies. Join blogging communities, attend conferences, read industry publications, and invest in your education. Be open to experimentation and adapt your approach based on what works best for your audience and niche.

Self Acceptance is a Journey
Self Acceptance is a Journey
Self-acceptance is a powerful concept, but it's important to remember that it's not a destination that you can simply arrive at and stay at forever. Instead, self-acceptance is a journey that requires ongoing effort and self-reflection. Here are a few reasons why self-acceptance is a journey:
Self Acceptance is Not Always Easy
Self-acceptance can be difficult, especially if you've struggled with low self-esteem or self-doubt in the past. It can be hard to let go of negative self-talk and embrace your true self. It's important to remember that self-acceptance is a process, and it's okay to take things one step at a time. Be patient with yourself and remember that progress takes time.
Self Acceptance Requires Self Reflection
Self-acceptance requires self-reflection and introspection. You need to be honest with yourself about your strengths and weaknesses, and learn to embrace both. This can be a difficult process, but it's essential for developing a strong sense of self and building a foundation of self-acceptance.
Self Acceptance is a Continual Process
Self-acceptance isn't something you achieve once and then forget about. It's an ongoing process that requires continual effort and attention. You may have days where you feel more confident and self-assured, and other days where you struggle with self-doubt. Remember that this is normal, and that self-acceptance is a journey that you'll be on for the rest of your life.
Self Acceptance is Unique to Each Person
Self-acceptance looks different for everyone. What works for one person may not work for another. It's important to find what works for you, whether it's practicing self-care, setting boundaries, or seeking therapy. Don't compare your journey to anyone else's. Instead, focus on your own unique path towards self-acceptance.
Self-acceptance is a journey that requires ongoing effort and self-reflection. While it may not always be easy, it's worth it in the end. By embracing your true self, flaws and all, you can experience greater self-confidence and happiness. Remember to be patient with yourself, and to take things one step at a time. The journey towards self-acceptance is unique to each person, so find what works for you and stay committed to the process.
Will Your Destiny Find You?
Will Your Destiny Find You?
There is a common storyline where the hero is simply going about their daily tasks and adventure finds them. Bilbo was sitting in his living room with Gandalf showed up with a tribe of dwarves, Cinderella was at home doing chores when a couple of mice and a fairy godmother sent her to the ball and changed her life and Jack was at the market doing some grocery shopping when he was offered magic beans. Simple stories that contribute to this idea that we don't have to do anything to make our dreams come true - that adventure and magic will find us sitting on our couch and sweep us away.

Letting Go to Accept Abundance
Letting Go to Accept Abundance
Learning to let go is one of the hardest stages of the personal growth and development journey. It is human nature to want to hold on to what is good, and to try to control our environment to give us the things that we want. That might work if you were the exclusive force in this world - but that's not the case. The truth is that life itself is a force, or more accurately two forces. I call them Magic and Chaos.
Magic is when something desirable happens that is not linear or logical. It doesn't quite make sense by the rules of this world. This is the force behind the teachings of Law of Attraction and The Secret. I'm a pretty logical, data-driven Type A person, but I have had things happen in my life that defy logic. I have encountered and aligned with this "Magic" in my life on more than one occasion, so I know first hand that it exists.
Chaos is when something undesirable happens that is not linear or logical. Why does one person suffer, and other person gain? Why did an intoxicated driver hit my car, and not the car right behind me? Why didn't I leave the house 1 minute later? Why was my child healthy, and another child born sick? The truth is that there is a force in life that brings unexpected trauma and tragedy to us, and we can't control that force.
So, we have the two forces of life, and then our own unique life force, and these three forces make up our reality. The thing is that these forces are like air - they are streams of power. They can't be controlled or contained. This is why life is designed to be touched - not strangled.
Staying accepting to the present moment while at the same time aligning your vibration with that which you most desire most in the future allows for you to touch life gently while using your life force to create more of what you want.
Letting Go of People in Your Past
One of my favorite quotes is, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." by Jim Rohn. I love this quote because it speaks to the influence that other people have on us. This process of taking on the vibration, characteristics, thoughts and beliefs of others happens mostly unconsciously. The fact is that by our very nature, we, as humans, exchange the very essence of our substances when we are in relationship with each other.
This is why it is imperative that we take great care with who you allow into our lives. Healthy people understand the need to create boundaries in order to express their truest, most authentic selves. Relationships are often characterized by layers of boundaries.
As you become the healthiest, most healed version of yourself, it is normal to continue to update your boundaries & the rules for what behaviors you allow in your life. It is natural to outgrow people and situations. Creating new "higher standards" for who you allow into your life is a sign that the investments you've been making in your personal growth are paying off.
(*Please note that having high standards for how people are allowed to interact with you allows you to increase the intimacy and vulnerability you have with others. With healthy boundaries you can actually be more authentic and present with other people in your life. I mention this because sometimes people get confused between having high standards and pushing people away to avoid emotional intimacy. That's something different, and not what I'm recommending.)
In a similar way, I adjust the rules for what behaviors I allow in each circle in response to the impact that circle has on my life. For example, in my Core Circle and Inner Circle, I absolutely don't accept dishonesty. Period. If you are repeatedly dishonest with me, then you move out to a distant circle. If you are allowed to influence me and the decisions that I make regarding my one precious life, then (hell, yes!) I require specific standards of behavior from you. That is how much I care about myself and the life that I'm creating.
Now, let's talk about that furthest outside circle, the 'Restricted' circle. This is for people who treat us in a way that creates harm or requires us to self abandon. For example, if someone repeatedly uses gaslighting behavior with me, or if someone has harmed me or a loved one and refuses to take accountability for that harm, that person is not allowed in my life. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be someone close to us. For me, this is my mom. That sucks, but in order to love myself and honor the life that I have worked hard to create, it is necessary.
As a highly sensitive person, empath, and introvert, building boundaries has been one of the most challenging areas of personal growth and development for me. I am a naturally compassionate person who feels everyTHING and everyONE, and for many years it felt unempathetic and unloving to have boundaries. As I healed and grew in my personal growth journey, I realized that the most loving thing that I can do for myself and others is define my edges with firm boundaries. If you identify and highly sensitive or empathetic, learning to establish healthy boundaries is especially important because of the high impact that other people have on you.
Even people who have been a core part of your past, aren't necessarily part of your destiny. One of the most powerful acts of self love in your life is building boundaries and regulating the impact that others have on you.
“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”
What Can You Bring To The World?
You have something to bring to the world that nobody else on the planet can offer! Each of us has unique talents, skills, and perspectives that we can offer to the world. Whether it's through our work, our relationships, or our personal pursuits, we all have the ability to make a positive impact on the world around us. The question is, what can you bring to the world? Here are a few ideas to consider:
First, you must trust yourself. You must cultivate the ability to stand firmly in your truth and not be swayed. Second, you must care for yourself, and provide yourself with the necessary time, energy and self-care to nurture your unique inner-wisdom and ingenuity. Then, you can begin to look deeper at the following 5 areas and unearth what you can bring to the world.
Your Talents and Skills
One of the most obvious things you can bring to the world is your talents and skills. Whether you're an artist, a musician, a writer, a scientist, or a business leader, your unique abilities can contribute to the world in meaningful ways. By sharing your talents and skills with others, you can inspire, educate, and empower those around you.
Each of us has a unique perspective that is shaped by our experiences, values, and beliefs. By sharing your perspective with others, you can broaden their understanding of the world and help them see things from a different point of view. Your perspective can also help to bridge cultural, social, and political divides, fostering greater understanding and empathy.
Passion is a powerful force that can inspire and motivate us to achieve great things. By pursuing your passions and sharing them with others, you can inspire them to do the same. Whether it's through volunteering, activism, or simply sharing your enthusiasm for a particular topic, your passion can have a positive impact on the world.
In a world that can sometimes be harsh and unkind, your kindness can make a world of difference. By treating others with compassion, empathy, and respect, you can create a ripple effect of positivity that spreads far beyond your immediate circle. Your kindness can inspire others to do the same, creating a chain reaction of goodwill.
